Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
Marketing Intern | May 2025 – Present
Experience
As the marketing intern at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, I’m gaining hands-on experience across several areas of the department, from research and strategy to digital storytelling. My role includes:
- Producing social content tailored to audience engagement
- Supporting the execution of marketing plans for events
- Analyzing social media metrics and digital trends to guide content strategy
- Researching and proposing community, industry, and influencer partnership opportunities
- Monitoring website content for accuracy and user experience
- Assisting with digital campaigns including email and SEO
- Attending marketing meetings and contributing to creative planning
- Collaborating across teams to bring Museum stories to life
This internship has given me the chance to connect creativity with strategy while working within one of Nashville’s most iconic cultural institutions. I’m grateful to be part of a team that celebrates the past, present, and future of country music and invites the world to experience it.
Video
During my internship, I have had the opportunity to independently concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content for both the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Hatch Show Print. One highlight was producing a reel featuring Chrissy Metz during CMA Fest week, capturing her surprise pop-up performance in the Museum Store and her book signing that followed. I handled the video shooting and editing, and Chrissy was added as a collaborator to help expand the post’s reach. I also created a stop-motion reel for Hatch Show Print to promote their sticker collection in a fun, eye-catching way. Both projects allowed me to combine storytelling with technical skills while staying true to each brand’s unique visual identity and audience tone.
Copywriting and Creative Thinking
When planning content for the Fourth of July, the team initially landed on sharing a vintage Hatch Show Print design. After the meeting, another intern and I saw an opportunity to dig deeper by highlighting how the Museum reflects the evolving story of country music within American history. We researched artifacts with cultural significance and proposed featuring a Nudie suit from the collection, pairing it with thoughtful copy that explored its historical context. We collaborated with the creative intern to capture original photos, and I wrote the social copy to give the post a more meaningful narrative. When we presented the concept to our directors, they loved it.
This project shows how important creative initiative is in marketing and that being an intern doesn’t mean you don’t have a voice. Sometimes the best ideas come from speaking up and asking, “What more can we do?”
