Lincoln Children’s Museum Membership Sale Promo
During my summer internship at the Lincoln Children’s Museum I worked on a promo for the membership sale, a week of reduced prices on membership. We included pieces for the sale in our weekly newsletter that I helped manage, but I was also tasked with creating a full email graphic of information on the sale. I created all the aspects on this email which was sent to our full email list of over 800 subscribers.
Jayhawks Rising Infographic
For the final project in my JMC 320: Intro to Strategic Communication, I based my infographic around the idea that the future is a scary place and current students need help finding their way through school in order to reach their goal after graduation. The Jayhawks Rising strategic plan has information on how students can reach that point, but it is still daunting until students can visually see how KU will help them reach their goals and graduation. My infographic is based around the idea of flipping over a tarot card that predicts your future, but specifically by saying that the future isn’t decided by a card – you decide.

Theme Park Infographic
For the final project in my JMC 300: Visual Storytelling class, we were tasked to research and create an infographic from scratch in InDesign on the topic of our choosing. For my project, I chose to research how theme parks are bringing employees back for the summer rush after COVID-19, because it is both timely and impacts those working in the entertainment industry. This project was great for me to learn about the basics of InDesign, but to also take those basic skills a step further as I created an infographic that matched my topic and content, as well as stood out to my audience. I learned a lot of skills from this project and look forward to using them in the future.
Lincoln Children’s Museum Birthday Invites
The Lincoln Children Museum offers birthday parties to be held at the Museum after hours, which I not only got to help run during my time there, but was also able to add to what each guest receives with the birthday package. One minor aspect of this package were these birthday invitations, designated for each theme the Museum offers. You can view all the invites I created below.

Lincoln Children’s Museum Scavenger Hunts
Every Sunday, the Lincoln Children’s Museum hosts a scavenger hunt throughout the Museum to encourage kids to explore, while also learning. The themes vary by week, whether it be matching baby animals to their mothers based on paper animals taped around the Museum, or this more unique scavenger hunt, which encourages kids to go outside their comfort zone and learn about helping people. I was tasked weekly to create the items for the scavenger hunt and get it all ready to go for Museum staff.
